Utopia Fitness is a personal training company working out of locations in downtown Calgary, in the community of Legacy in Calgary and online to provide fitness programming to as many people as possible.

Trainers are fully certified and are able to provide a variety of programming to meet the fitness needs of all clients.

Mobile training into client residences or to an outdoor location is possible depending on trainer availability.

Our Mission is to provide fun, safe, motivating and effective exercise programs for all individuals seeking to improve their overall health and wellness.

I have been a part of the fitness industry since 1994 through sports coaching and group fitness instruction.  After graduating from MRC with a personal fitness trainer diploma in 2001, I became a full-time personal trainer.

I pride myself in providing my clients with the most up-to-date information; new, fun and exciting workout programs; and my support.  My overall goal is to create an atmosphere of positive thinking where my clients can be pushed to go beyond where they think they can go, to achieve those things they think are impossible to accomplish.

As an individual who has struggled with my own body weight issues, I have a passion and understanding for those going through their own weight loss journey.  I love to encourage, support and give a little extra push to help my clients achieve their weight loss and health goals.  Working with clients to assist them in nutritional decisions and providing them with a number of weight loss tools is what I strive to do.

As a mom of two, I love working with women who are pregnant, or who are trying to get back into pre-pregnancy shape.  I have a personal knowledge and understanding of what happens to a woman’s body when she has a baby and am able to work with moms who are struggling to find “their body” post-pregnancy (even with the new time limitations that come with being a mom!)

Elderly or young, athlete or self-proclaimed couch potato – I strive to improve the daily living of all my clients.  I have worked with individuals with acute injuries, as well as with those with chronic conditions such as arthritis and osteoporosis.  Other practitioners, such as physiotherapists, massage therapists and chiropractors, may have a vital role in the training capabilities of my clients; therefore working with the advice of the treating practitioner is always a consideration.

In my free time, I love kickboxing, enjoy running and spending time outside.  My two boys are the highlight of my life and I take every opportunity possible to spend with them and my wonderful husband.  When I’m looking to kick-back, I enjoy scrapbooking, and relaxing with a great cup of coffee, or maybe a glass of wine. ☺
